DAY 6 REVIEW
Day 6, and again a yokozuna and an ozeki hit the clay. In the final bout Hoshoryu fell to Hakunofuji's twisting backward counter, conceding a kinboshi — the fifth of the 22-year-old Isenoumi-beya man's career — and Hakunofuji joined the chase group in the process. Kotozakura was bulldozed out by Gonoyama, who has now toppled a yokozuna and an ozeki in the same week. Kirishima, beaten for the first time the day before, steadied himself by pushing out Yoshinofuji, and Onosato forced out Hiratoumi to level his record. Aonishiki stayed near the front with a twisting underarm throw against Oho, Takanosho made it two straight by beating Kotoshoho, and Atamifuji pushed out Fujinokawa. Down the banzuke, Wakanosho's perfect run ended against Fujiryoga — leaving Shishi, the 29-year-old from Ukraine, as the only unbeaten man in makuuchi. Six wins for Shishi, six men one behind: Nagoya's title race just keeps getting harder to call.

Win % = Glicko-2 expected score from each wrestler's latest rating. Shown for Juryo and above only — lower divisions have provisional ratings, so their predictions are unreliable. Bouts listed in fight order (main event last). Start times (~H:MM) are rough estimates based on the standard daily schedule and may shift with the day's pace. Green/red ± figures show the rating change from that bout — the bigger the upset, the bigger the number (provisional during the basho; new wrestlers can swing widely while their rating settles).
