DAY 4 REVIEW
Day 4 belonged to the ozeki. Kirishima, chasing yokozuna promotion, brushed aside Takanosho — a man who has tormented him for years — to stay the only unbeaten wrestler in the upper ranks. Kotozakura calmly slapped down Fujinokawa, finally halting the youngster who had toppled both yokozuna on consecutive days. Onosato, meanwhile, fell again: pushed out by Gonoyama for another kinboshi conceded, a punishing start for the returning yokozuna. Hoshoryu steadied himself by thrusting down Churanoumi. In the sanyaku the upsets kept coming — previously unbeaten Aonishiki was thrown by new komusubi Yoshinofuji for his first loss, Kotoshoho fell to Oho, and Atamifuji lost to Daieisho, stalling all three in-form sekiwake at once. Yoshinofuji, who simply seems to have Aonishiki's number, is making a striking debut in the named ranks. Down the banzuke, Wakanosho and Shishi kept their perfect records intact. At the top, only Kirishima remains unbeaten — the yokozuna-chasing ozeki has taken the early lead in a wide-open Nagoya.

Win % = Glicko-2 expected score from each wrestler's latest rating. Shown for Juryo and above only — lower divisions have provisional ratings, so their predictions are unreliable. Bouts listed in fight order (main event last). Start times (~H:MM) are rough estimates based on the standard daily schedule and may shift with the day's pace. Green/red ± figures show the rating change from that bout — the bigger the upset, the bigger the number (provisional during the basho; new wrestlers can swing widely while their rating settles).
