Onosato lost to Kirishima by underarm throw and is 11-2, so the title decision waits; Kirishima is 7-6. Aonishiki slapped down Kotozakura for 10-3, seven straight, and Asanoyama forced out Atamifuji for 10-3 — both one behind. Kotozakura is 8-5 and Atamifuji, three straight losses, also 8-5. Fujinokawa was pushed out by Minoumi, both now 9-4. Takanosho withdrew, a walkover for Hakunofuji. Ura slapped down Fujiseiun and Wakamotoharu slapped down Hiradoumi, both 9-4. Takayasu pushed out Gonoyama and Fujiryoga pushed out Daieisho. After thirteen days Onosato is 11-2, Aonishiki and Asanoyama 10-3, and four men 9-4: Fujinokawa, Minoumi, Ura and Wakamotoharu. On day fourteen Onosato clinches if he beats Kotozakura and both Aonishiki and Asanoyama lose. In juryo Kagayaki lost to Namatame for 11-2 and Kayo lost to Mitakeumi for 10-3.
