DAY 3 REVIEW

The first losses at the top. Kirishima, chasing the rope, was pulled down by Takayasu — his first loss inside three days in three tournaments. Atamifuji, on an ozeki run, flew out to Takanosho's thrust-down at the edge, his third straight loss to him. Onosato, by contrast, pushed first-time opponent Kotoeiho straight out for his first 3-0 start since January; Aonishiki was spun around by Kotoshoho but turned back and won by leg-trip, and Kotozakura slapped Daieisho down at the edge, so the yokozuna and two ozeki are unbeaten. New sekiwake Fujinokawa pushed out Gonoyama for a second win. Both komusubi, Daieisho and Hakunofuji, are 0-3, as are Yoshinofuji and Kotoshoho — nobody drawing the top ranks has won yet. Takanosho, Fujiseiun and Asakoryu are 3-0 in the ranks; Asakoryu's brother Asasuiryu lost the all-debutant bout to Kotobukinofuji's overarm throw, Kotobukinofuji's first win. Six men are 3-0: the yokozuna, two ozeki, Takanosho, Fujiseiun and Asakoryu.

Win % = Glicko-2 expected score from each wrestler's latest rating. Shown for Juryo and above only — lower divisions have provisional ratings, so their predictions are unreliable. Bouts listed in fight order (main event last). Start times (~H:MM) are rough estimates based on the standard daily schedule and may shift with the day's pace. Green/red ± figures show the rating change from that bout — the bigger the upset, the bigger the number (provisional during the basho; new wrestlers can swing widely while their rating settles).
