Onosato forced out Hakunofuji for 9-1, a sixth straight win, and kept the lead alone. Atamifuji pushed out Kotozakura for 8-2 and a winning record; Kotozakura has lost three straight and is 6-4. Fujinokawa thrust down Takanosho for 8-2, six in a row and a winning record, and Kinbozan threw Kotobukinofuji by underarm throw for 8-2 and his own. Kirishima was pushed out by Fujiryoga for a third straight loss, 5-5. Aonishiki forced out Minoumi for 7-3, Minoumi's third loss. Ura slapped down Roga, Asanoyama pushed out Abi and Tokihayate threw Takerufuji, all 7-3. Yoshinofuji forced out Takayasu and Kotoshoho pulled down Daieisho. After ten days Onosato leads at 9-1, three are 8-2 (Atamifuji, Fujinokawa, Kinbozan) and five are 7-3 (Ura, Asanoyama, Minoumi, Tokihayate, Aonishiki). In juryo Kagayaki forced down Enho for 10-0; Kayo is 8-2.
