DAY 12 REVIEW

Onosato beat Atamifuji with an underarm pulling throw for 11-1; Atamifuji's fourth loss leaves him short of the 33-win yardstick. In the three-loss showdowns Aonishiki forced out Kinbozan and Asanoyama forced out Minoumi, so the 9-3 group is Aonishiki, Fujinokawa and Asanoyama. Fujinokawa forced down Kirishima for 9-3, completing wins over all three ozeki; Kirishima is 6-6. Kotozakura pushed out Oshoma for a winning record, and Ura, Wakamotoharu and Fujiseiun also reached 8-4. Daieisho was thrust out by Takayasu for a losing record, and Hakunofuji lost to Gonoyama for 3-9. Kotoshoho withdrew, a walkover for Fujiryoga. After twelve days Onosato is 11-1, three men are 9-3 and seven are 8-4: Wakamotoharu, Ura, Kotozakura, Minoumi, Atamifuji, Fujiseiun and Kinbozan. If Onosato wins on day thirteen and all three 9-3 men lose, the title is his. In juryo Kagayaki is 11-1 and Kayo 10-2.

Win % = Glicko-2 expected score from each wrestler's latest rating. Shown for Juryo and above only — lower divisions have provisional ratings, so their predictions are unreliable. Bouts listed in fight order (main event last). Start times (~H:MM) are rough estimates based on the standard daily schedule and may shift with the day's pace. Green/red ± figures show the rating change from that bout — the bigger the upset, the bigger the number (provisional during the basho; new wrestlers can swing widely while their rating settles).
